Ayushman Singh

Mr. Ayushman Singh, a young, bright mind always beaming with organic ideas and accompanying an insatiable appetite for contemplation has graduated from the prestigious Delhi University. A seasoned and bilingual debator, he has won numerous awards at state and district level competitions since childhood. His double graduation degrees in Law and English literature have bestowed upon him the skill of eloquence and articulation, much sought-after trait in a wordsmith. Beyond honing Mr. Singh's understanding in textual and contextual complexities of social and global issues, the admirable academic profile has further equipped the author with logical clarity interlaced with humanitarian or compassionate dimensions, a pre-requisite to undertake socio-scientific analysis of matters spanning the barricades of man-made and natural nature. The author's decision to pen a comprehensive account on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) world's largest multifaceted voluntary organization with its societal and political intent, stemmed from his firm belief in writing being one of the most noble pursuits and harbinger of constructive change that new India demands for universal progress and peace but without loosing its originality.

His spiritually, academically and culturally enriched upbringing has motivated and capacitated him to conduct rigorous research and explore enormous resources while navigating through the multi-directional functional zones of RSS since its inception in 1925 so as to present to our readers an unbiased narrative of the endeavors of brothers in saffron following the enduring trials of oppertunities, challenges and accomplishments.

Lastly, it is evident that though there is an abundance of hagiographic literature on RSS and its volunteers in regional languages, limited visibility of RSS in english writings does restricts its accessibility and popularity to some extent.

In that light, the present body of work being an illuminative and engrossing account certainly comes across as an unostentatious effort with a neutral and fresh perspective to wedge the gaps created due to paucity of encylopediac and fair description in english language about RSS and its evolution from an organization to a movement.
